Sucralose is an artificial sweetener and sugar substitute. The majority of ingested sucralose is not broken down by the body, so it is noncaloric. In the European Union, it is also known under the E number E955.

It is a white to off white crystalline granular. It is freely soluble in water, methanol, and alcohol. It is slightly soluble in ethyl acetate. It functions as a nonnutritive sweetener/flavor enhancer. Niutang Sucralose has a clean, sweet taste that is approximately 600 times sweeter than sugar. This material is Kosher, Pareve and Halal Certified.
